JASDF Ba-F1

The Ba-F1 is a short range interceptor built during the early 90's. The Aircraft was manufactured by Banzai Co, a newly created weapons manufacturer to help supply the JASDF with licensed built copys of weapons used in Japanese service. The Ba-F1 was Banzais first attempt to create a multi-role aircraft capable of meeting the JASDF's needs. 3 variants of the aircraft were created, with 10 units being created for each variant, the Ba-F1 being the fighter/interceptor, the Ba-S1 being the anti-ship warfare variant, and the Ba-T1, the Trainer/Aerobatics variant. The Ba-F1 never saw any combat, and was only in service with the JASDF for 2 years before being retired, due to technical faults. The Ba-S1 was in service for 5 years, and saw combat in one incident, where one was used to destroy a small pirate boat, attempting to attack a Korean Cargoship. the Ba-T1 saw service saw service for 2 years as a trainer, with 5 of them being converted into Ba-S1's. The main faults of the Jet, were its lack of fuel efficiency, loose handling, and bumpy landings.
