Fábrica de Aeronaves Rondajas AC.142 Anaconda
The Fábrica de Aeronaves Rondajas AC.142 Anaconda is a Brazilian fighter aircraft, designed and built by the Brazilian youths in 1939. The aircraft featured a tricycle landing gear configuration, which was used instead of using the conventional landing gear configuration. 6 machine guns were installed on the aircraft's wings. A powerful engine that boasts, which can go up to 350 km/h. At the end of World War 2, the aircraft would remain in service until 1957.
Development
The Brazilian youths began planning a new fighter aircraft, which would be used by the Brazilian Air Force.
The plan was submitted for the new fighter aircraft. The Brazilian youths accepted it, which the building of the prototype would occur in Salvador, where the first flight would began, after the building was finished.
The prototype fighter aircraft was considered a success, which would later enter with the Brazilian Air Force in 1940.
Service History
During the World War 2, The AC.142 aircrafts were deployed and saw success in the battlefield.
During the Italian front, the AC.142 fighter aircrafts were deployed and saw action against enemies.
At the end of World War 2, the AC.142 fighter aircrafts would remain in service until the retirement in 1957.
