YAKOVLEV YAK-38 (FORGER)
was the Soviet Naval Aviation's only operational VTOL strike fighter aircraft in addition to being its first operational carrier-based fixed-wing aircraft. It was developed specifically for, and served almost exclusively on, the Kiev-class aircraft carriers
AG-1 = On/Off Vertical Thrust/Take-Off
AG-2 = On/Off Reverse Thrust/Brake <--(Important)
AG-4 = Open
AG-5 = Open
AG-6 = Open
AG-7 = Landing Hook
NOTE: Again, USE AG-2 FOR BRAKES when Thrusting Vertical. Otherwise you will drop like a rock.

@TMach5
Oh :(
@DieDieTheLoaf @KnightOfRen I dont have a Discord. I use to be on Belugasubs but it disappeared suddenly
@Sovetzkyrossiya The AirBrake is a VTOL engine set to AG-2 with the exhaust ports pointing forward.
Gimme ur discord and I’ll send teasers@TMach5
It’s hard@TMach5
Yep. I haven’t done a proper VTOL jet in a long time. @DieDieTheLoaf
Yak?@TMach5
you can join my Futuristic General Aviation Challenge? please:) @TMach5
@DieDieTheLoaf tag me when you post your plane. id like to see it
Ok I’ll see if I understand what you mean@TMach5
@DieDieTheLoaf Using the OVERLOAD Mod, you can add zeroOnDeactivate set to FALSE under the input Controller category for the engines. This allows throttle to decrease slowly so that thrust doesnt drop immediately. The XML modded Gyros help as well.
Yeah, what I mean, is it doesn’t even lose alt like mine do@TMach5
@DieDieTheLoaf Probably because I didnt use the VTOL slider. I will explain: The Powerplant is 2 engines in the fuselage attached to rotators (all the other engines produce no thrust). When AG-1 activates, Gyros turn on for stability and the engine Thrust pivots 90 degrees down. When DeActivated, the engines pivot back to normal flight.
How did u get it to go from vtol to non vtol so easy? My vtol planes, there are methods for making them work properly
@KnightOfRen Im glad you like it. I use to be on Belugasubs Discord but it disappeared.
@DimitriIqbal91 It depends on altitude. In the GIF, Throttle descends from 12% to 8%. It takes some practice. ;-)
Oh and also, how you make it descends really slowly? It's so satisfying to watch
Whats your discord?
Been playing around for a while, great work!
Design: 10/10, extremely accurate
Performance: 10/10, this thing flies like a dream
Quality: 9.5/10, very high quality here, I like it
Description: 8/10, pretty good, but could use some screenshots
Overall Grade: 9.5/10 solid. Very good
Great work! You are currently in 1st!
Looks great and flies good. I didn't even need the tail hook to land!
@TMach5 I see, okay thanks
@DimitriIqbal91 The Brake is a VTOL engine set to AG-2 with the exhaust ports pointing forward. Using standard Brakes kills all the engines, so this prevents power loss. The Powerplant is 2 engines in the fuselage attached to rotators (all the other engines produce no thrust). When AG-1 activates, Gyros turn on for stability and Thrust pivots 90 degrees down.
Woah how do you make the forward and reverse/brake thrust?
