When later models of the Za-27 exhibited canard flutter and stability issues when a TLS is mounted, the overall effectiveness as a lightweight air-superiority fighter diminished. This prompted Zloba to develop the Za-37, notable for its radical redesign of the canards and hardpoints, which are placed on the fuselage and engines. Further enhancing its stability is the implementation of an internal weapons bay designed to house a "Ammonite" TLS pod, a major improvement of the existing "Zoisite" pod used on its predecessor and the ADFX-01/02 Morgan.
