Auto Credit Based on Supercraft888's (Closed) Bi-Plane challenge
Developed in 1984 as an experimental "jet biplane" concept, the NR-X Type B served alongside the SR-71 Blackbird as a reconnaissance aircraft. The plane was a success with the extra set of wings providing more stability and control at lower and higher speeds. The NR-X was capable of gliding and maintaining flight at speeds as low as 180mph, and could achieve speeds of 1200+mph at high altitudes.
