The EinFlugel En-90S Sturmtaucher (Shearwater) is a VTOL tiltwing transport aircraft made by EinFlugel as a shorter variant of the En-90, able to land on ships and in smaller clearings. Designed to fly into the danger zone of a battle, it can do a crash dive style landing, while taking punishment before taking off just as quickly.
This aircraft, 17+48, is in the same squadron as 17+49 and 16+45, and also served in the German - Greek war doing frontline engine replacement deliveries.
