Greta Thunberg Challenge (Closed)
This is a remastered and a do-able version of the Greta Thunberg challenge. I decided to test out the challenge myself and it was hardly do-able. So I will make this one better, I promise.
Welcome to the Greta Thunberg Challenge!
Your goal is to transport Greta from Wright to Yeager airport, because there is a big storm coming up, and it is too windy for a boat! She isn't a fan of planes herself, but she hesitates and gives you 20 gallons of fuel to use. Your other option is making a solar or an electric aircraft. There will be winds of 60 mph at a heading of 220 degrees, so make sure your airplane can stand the extra wind!
How this will be rated:
Fuel efficiency (If your plane uses fuel)
Looks
Handling in the Air
Handling on the Ground
Your plane will also be timed on how long it takes for it to reach Yeager Airport. This timer will start once I am in the air to until I come to a stop.
If your airplane comes to a stop and stays there for a good 20 seconds, I will give extra points to "Handling on the Ground."
Rules:
(1) If you make a solar plane, it must have solar panels.
(2) Your plane must not be smaller than a Cessna 152, and should not be bigger than a Boeing 737 MAX 10.
(3) If your plane uses gas, your plane should only use the 20 gallon fuel tank. It is behind the 8-Bit Greta. You can also just take one from the parts section and just slap a fuel tank on, There is no XML allowed on the fuel tank.
(4) XML modding is allowed, besides the fuel tank.
(5) Your airplane design muse be a 4 seater or more. I am not asking for you to model 4 seats, but make your plane have the dimensions to fit 4 passengers or more.
(6) Replicas, fictional aircraft, and upgraded replicas are allowed.
(7) Your post must be yours. You can receive help from someone or collab, but you shouldn't take someone's post and make small edits in it. If your post is a collab, then PLEASE tell me, and tell me the usernames of the people who did that collab with you.
(8) No launchers or cannons. That is unsafe. And it ruins the fun.
(9) For the love of Pete have only 20 gallons of fuel loaded into your plane if it is powered by gas.
(10) Try to stick with more detailed general aviation aircraft. I don't want to see any tutorial planes or unarmed civilian F-18s. Keep it civil looking. Weird designs are allowed, but make it look like 4 people can actually fit inside that aircraft.
(11) While I said don't go over the dimensions of a MAX 10 and no lower than a Cessna 150, that disqualifies the wingspan. I doubt you would need that much wing, but just in case.
(12) The max part count is 1500. No more parts than that please.
(13) The maximum entries per person is 3.
Tips:
If you are going to use gas for your plane, keeping your plane a single engine aircraft would save lots of fuel.

@Wheatman1 hmm, a catapult or a winch is fine. Nothing cannon-like though.
I made a repost. This is to make the challenge a bit, or if not, a lot easier, so you guys can be more creative with your designs.
I guess everyone is a winner since no one really cared for this challenge :P
Good, because I have created is already done @Trijets
@LordAidanYT as I said, the max fuel is 20 gallons, however you put it. You can XML props, but nothing too crazy.
Is it ok to use fuselage parts and put only 1 gallon of fuel in them? Are we able to XML modify the props?
@Trijets kay
@TinyBearTim there will be light/no wind gusts.
What type of wind gust will it be on?@Trijets
@Wheatman1 rule number 8. Winches and rockets are fine. Points would bebreducted however if you use a rocket. If you do, it must detach after it takes off.
@UAVMaker You can but it will take off points for using rocket fuel. The rocket must detach after takeoff.
Can we use missiles to power the vehicle or they are a type of launcher?@Trijets
@Trijets Incorrect, however I will still upvote lol
@Trijets, can we do something like a launcher to get the aircraft moving?
I will try my best!!
Yes of corse
@Ultra0 noooooooo no cannonz
Once again, can i fire out of a cannon?
@ChisP roger that
@XAircraftManufacturer roger
@Trijets oh I can't make
Nah dude it's fine, it doesn't bother me.@Trijets
I won’t participate most likely but I do think this is funny@Trijets
@Hedero Oh. I am sorry for the ping then.
Oh I never did intend on joining, but I might who knows.@Trijets
