A single-seat fighter created by D. L. Tomashevich in 1942. Careful with the brakes on landing.

History:
The I-110 was completed in December 1942, with the new 1,650 horsepower Klimov M-107A water-cooled engine as its power plant because of its promising performance. It included inward-retracting main wheels and a tail wheel that retracted forwards. The armament of the I-110 was powerful at that time. It consisted of one 20mm ShVAK cannon firing through the propeller hub, two synchronized .50 cal UB machine guns above the engine, and two unsyncronized .30 cal ShKAS machine guns in the wings. In early 1943, the The I-110 was accepted into state tests by pilot P. Stefanovsky and engineer V. Bolotnikov. During the tests, the M-107A engine usually overheated, which showed that it wasn’t ready yet. This delayed production orders. What made it worse was that there were a large number of successful fighters already in production. Thus the Tomashevich I-110 remained a prototype.
