Deloped in the 1930's, the Fiat CR.32 would see action in both the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War. Over Spain, the type would be a resounding success, with 447 aircraft shooting down 709 enemy aircraft, with only 118 lost. By the Second World War, the type had mostly been replaced by other degins, such as the Fiat CR.42 and Macchi MC.200, but the last CR.32's would be withdrawn in 1941.
