HISTORY:
To fulfill the supposed crusade to spread freedom and democracy across the galaxy, the Vontaran military requested the development of a space-faring interceptor that could spearhead aggressive attacks on enemy forces. This interceptor had to be light, simple, and affordable, but still be able to inflict considerable damage. Vontara received its desired interceptor with the debut of the Spacecraft Type-121 Bugan. The SC-121 was developed by Outland Industries, Vontara's leading aerospace engineering firm. Though it wasn't particularly fast or agile, the SC-121 had enough firepower to cripple enemy resistance. It was also cheap and simple enough to be mass produced in astronomically large numbers. This allowed the Vontaran military to send waves upon waves of SC-121s to attack planets of which Vontara aimed to liberate. This tactic worked very well during the early stages of the Great War of the Galaxy. During the later stages of the war, however, the Vontarans' hit-and-run interception tactics were being countered by increasingly greater success by the Interstellar Council. At which point the SC-121 went from a powerful spearhead to an obsolete burden. The Vontarans then had to resort to traditional dog fighting tactics when engaging in aerial/interstellar combat.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE:
Do not pitch down too hard or too quickly while launching a missile or a rocket, otherwise it might collide with the craft mid-flight and destroy it.

This fighter was intended to be a short/medium range interceptor, so it does not maneuver very well. Try to avoid engaging enemies in actual dog fights.

Action group 1 illuminates the exterior lights.

Action group 2 jettisons the rocket pods.

Action group 3 jettisons the inferno missiles.

Action group 4 jettisons the guardian missiles.

Action group 5 jettisons the interceptor missiles.

Action group 8 primes all munitions.
