This airplane has constant speed propellers that utilize funky trees to change the pitch of the propellers in such a way that helps maintain the engines' RPM. Unlike traditional propeller engines with automatic pitch, the direction of thrust can be changed by adding a pitch reversing code in the propeller pitch changing controller, which makes reverse thrust possible. The pitch changing funky tree codes require fine tuned PID controllers, which need to be retuned if certain engine parameters like blade diameter and maximum RPM were to change.
