DP-2 Heron
hello y’all
I am finally done with this, well, it’s been done for a while, just never got a good name for it, but now I do! the DP-2 Heron, cause like a heron, this has got long legs.
the DP-2 Heron is a small regional propeller aircraft. developed from the wings and engines of my BP-1 Cardinal. with 2 V12 engines and contra-rotating propellers, it’s quite powerful, being able to reach speeds of 300+ mph. there are a few downsides to it being a commercial plane though, for one, it has only 12 seats, making up for this though is how rugged the plane can be. with how long the landing gear is and how many bumps it can take, this plane can land nearly anywhere (as long as there’s a long enough surface). the Heron also has 2 points of entry, a regular boarding door for airports and such, and an aft stairway which is commonly used when landing in remote areas.
I’m quite happy with this plane, I’ve worked hard on it, and incorporated a lot of new things, like some funky trees that I learned, I’m also happy with how it looks, a sleek but rugged passenger plane. it’s not the best plane, but I’m happy with it.
I have a few ideas in mind for future builds, I’ve got another car similar to the Canine that work is currently halted on, and I’ve got a multitude of ideas for planes, hopefully as I work on those builds, I can work on defining my work and making it better.
anyways, that’s all I have rn, have a wonderful day ^-^
