The British Aerospace Corporation’s 115, more commonly referred to as the BAC 155, was a troop and personnel transport aircraft used by the Royal Air Force, United States Air Force, and the Japanese Self Defense Force.
Although having a good enough reputation amongst its pilots, the BAC 115 was expensive to maintain and eventually found its way into primarily civilian service by the mid-2010’s. It was with airlines such as British Airways, Japan Airlines, and Qantas, that the 115 found most of its success.
