This is a VTOL aircraft designed for quick transport of Jumpy Cricket. (The small car inside) The Pigeon has no need for long runways which makes it ideal for landing on small islands letting its recon car explore.

CONTROLS: VTOL=VTOL (Oh really?) AG1 primes the trapdoor for opening, use VTOL to open trapdoor. (Because you will have already turned the throttle down this will not make your plane take off) AG2 releases Jumpy Cricket. AG3 activates gyroscope, in case you've really screwed up.
If you have legit skill, you may be able to drive the car back under the Pigeon and close the door on it, you can then take off and return home, just in time for tea.
