MFS Shinano (CVA-053)

12.2k ShadowHeavyIndustry  5 months ago

Shinano was an aircraft carrier built by the Royal Neo Navy (RNN) during First Neo Civil War, the largest such built up to that time. Laid down in May 1952 as the third of the Yamato-class battleships, Shinano's partially complete hull was ordered to be converted to an aircraft carrier following Neo's disastrous loss of five of its original six fleet carriers at the Battle of Wenzhou Harbor in mid-1940. The advanced state of her construction prevented her conversion into a fleet carrier, so the RNN decided to convert her into a carrier that supported other carriers. Shinano was completed on February 24, 1953 and began conducting Sea Trials on February 25, but had not had time to enter combat on March 4, 1953. The Neo Empire surrendered to the Neo Communist Regime which ended the First Neo Civil War.

Service History

First Neo Civil War

Shinano began construction in 1940 at the Kaisei Naval Arsenal, but due to bombing by the Neo Communist Regime, Shinano was laid down in 1952 then moved to Mizukyoto and completed in February 24, 1953. But on March 4, 1953 the Neo Empire Surrendered to the Neo Communist Regime, because of this, the Royal Neo Navy tried to Scuttled Shinano so that it would not fall into the hands of the Neo Communists, but the plan failed because when they wanted to blow up Shinano at Mizukyoto port, The Neo People's Army has landed in the city of Mizukyoto and finally Shinano has fallen to the Neo Communists and been converted into a Fleet Carrier.
After the war, Shinano was operated by Fleet Neo and in 1979 Shinano was retired and converted into a floating museum in the city of Vladivostok.

Reactivation

Shinano was reactivated on December 9 2020, because the Neo Shadow Navy had lost its Carrier fleet in the attack on Yumemori port October 7 2020

Fourth Neo Civil War

In the Fourth Neo-Civil War, Shinano was assigned to the 15th Combined Fleet with her sister ship Musashi, her first battle was the Second Battle of the Yellow Sea During that battle, Shinano managed to sink two frigates and a Type 303 Neorasian Army Battleship.

Shinano also took part in the Battle of the Okinawa Sea, the largest naval battle in the history of the Shadow Navy at that time, in that battle Shinano succeeded in sinking the Battleship Kii and Type-01 aircraft carrier and also sank 3 Neorasian Army Submarines and another 10 Transport Ship, Shinano was hit by a Kamikaze Attack from a Neorasian Air Force Bomber which hit her Port Side Deck, killing 55 of her Crew and destroyed 10 Aircraft parked on her deck.

During the Hanako City Liberation Operation, Shinano was hit by an Anti-ship Missile right at its Water Line, fortunately the Missile that hit it failed to explode and the damage was repaired by its crew, During that operation, Shinano also succeeded in sinking the Neorasian Army aircraft carrier Type 05 which was docked at the port of Hanako City, Sector A.

Shinano also took part in the Attack on Battleship A-250 and the Jade Harbor Raid

Post Civil War

After the Civil War, Shinano was still operated by the Shadow Navy (now Mizuhara Federation Navy) until it was retired in 2045 and returned to the Floating Museum in Vladivostok
