The Boeing 747, also known as the Jumbojet, is a large four-engine jet airliner manufactured by the Boeing Company. The Boeing 747 is the second largest passenger aircraft in the world after the Airbus A380.

The idea of ??building the 747 was proposed by Boeing in the mid-sixties, after which the US Army signed a contract with Boeing to purchase a large number of these aircraft to strengthen its fleet.
