Statement

Firstly - I have zero interest in politics, I have no views for or against Israel or whomever they happen to be fighting, I do however have an interest in aircraft and interesting colour schemes

Secondly - attacking me personally on my posts over my use of a certain countries identification symbols / colour schemes isnt going to wash or stop me creating content for that country... seriously online bullying probably isnt a good look for whatever cause you are pushing.

Thirdly - aforementioned bullying comments actually paid dividends for me here, probably counter productive for their aims. Those posts lead to me carrying out some research into the IDF, prior to that I hadnt really done any research into the Israeli airforce so I hadnt discovered the treasure trove of colour schemes availiable to me (or the multitude of aircraft types the IDF have flown since they were founded in 1948!)

Introduction

Here we have a nice "what if" adaptation from the awesome design by Arado (German in case you didnt know). Imagine the war had dragged on a couple of more years, this sort of build would have been prevelant, the course of history still panned out the same though but now the allies had a multitude of effective ex-German aircraft to intergrate into their airforces, instead of the IDF using B-17s it now has Arado 555 bombers!

The colour scheme is based on what the IDF used in the Suez conflict in 1956, nice for a change from grey/green.

Some disparaging comments also pointed out I was letting some builds go to waste which was inspiration enough to complete this build that i first started in JUNE 2023... well I got there in the end... just look at the work that the wing shape alone took.

Controls

AG1 = start all the engines
AG3 = open weapons bay doors and arm bombs
VTOL dn = flaps

Pictures

High level bomb run complete (and then i zoom dived to view the results)

Beautifully detailed and colored as always. Went on a bombing run with this from Wright to Krakabloa and back, highly responsive controls and handling with decent armament, and came back with just 18% fuel.

@asteroidbook345 Has basis in reality too. During Israel's early years, they were armed with surplus Nazi guns.

@RamboJutter , It's normal, you always make such beautiful planes. And I personally think that each vote should be accompanied by a little word, it's important to me. It proves that you took the time and not just click on upvote while passing very quickly.
