The civilian version of the Carlton M82 revolver, the 682 is one of its most popular products. With 1.5 million made by the company, and millions more copies, unlicensed or otherwise, the 682 is perhaps one of the most popular revolvers made. Its popularity comes from its options for every purse and purchase regarding every part of the gun.
Barrels as short as two inches or as long as eight can be ordered. Fixed, tangent, or target sights are available. Grips come in every practical shape and material. Available finishes include parkerizing, blacking, bluing, chroming, and metal plating, such as nickel, silver, or gold. Frames can be made of steel, brass, aluminum, or titanium. Of course, all barrels and cylinders are made of high-quality steel.
While there are innumerable configurations, the most popular are mass-produced. By far, the most popular is the Duty model, the trusty companion at the hip of thousands of soldiers and police officers. This model, is the Protector variant, featuring an aluminum frame, brown rubber grips, spurless hammer, and a 3" barrel. This particular example has a chrome finish.

@Pilotmario NP!
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation We know that half of every gunsmith in the Khyber Pass is cranking out copies of this pistol. They range from almost as good as Carlton-made to a construction so dodgy that it looks more dangerous to the shooter than the intended target. Most pistols fall somewhere in between, leaning to the dodgy side.
Sometimes the copies are so good that we will allow them to sell it for a fee. The bad junk though doesn't get through though. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
@Pilotmario Well yeah, :P but now you shouldn't worry about seeing any copies 😃 they'd usually be imported from other places though.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Okay.
I assume that in Awwam, all firearms must be submitted to a proofing house in order to verify that it is safe to own. Fortunately, we have our agent there to intercept copies.
Now these copies vary in quality from as good as Carlton-made to utter garbage. If the agent sees that the copy is as good, if not better than, Carlton-made pistols, they could pay the agent (and by extension, the company) $1 for a pistol or $2 for a rifle so that it could receive a "Carlton Patent" marking, thus said copy is licensed.
One amazing example is one made from Damascus steel with engraved ivory grips. The agent actually outright purchased a pair after having it proofed and stamped, and sent one pistol to the CEO of the company as success of the program.
Awwam has entirely removed third party manufacturers that copy or resell all Carlton products in their own Territory 😃 we only hope to get the original, and best from You!
@livetoplay11 Thanks!
Great job!
