The Ulyanovsk aircraft carrier, the first ship of the Ulyanovsk class aircraft carrier, the construction plan code name is "plan 1143.7". The ship was originally named the "Kremlin" and later named the Ulyanovsk, which originated in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk, in memory of Lenin (originally named Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov). The Ulyanovsk, which started in 1988 at the Nikolayev Shipyard in the Black Sea of Ukraine, was the first super aircraft carrier of the Soviet Navy and the first generation of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers of the Soviet Union. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the ship was succeeded by Ukraine, but was completely shut down in November 1991 because of the lack of economic power in Ukraine following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
