The RANM PGW-50 was a small amphibious cargo transport aircraft designed by RANM in 2003. The aircraft has a peculiar shape, being stretched across the x-axis. This was done to ensure the plane had the spatial capacity for a greater load while minimizing the empty weight of the aircraft. The nose of the PGW-50 also had a distinct shape that somewhat resembles the hull of a boat. This marginally increases efficiency on water as compared to a conventional aircraft design, however the shape makes this particular aircraft more inefficient in air. It was discontinued in 2013; 36 were built.
