LTV (Vaught) A-7s were initially USN carrier-based, delivered to the Navy in 1967. The subsonic A-7 saw combat over Southeast Asia, Lebanon, Libya, and Iraq. The last squadron of A-7 Corsair IIs was used to support testing of the F-117 (4450thTactical Group). Typical maximum weapon carried: the 2,000 lb unguided Mk 84 GP in initial deployments. DET=1, 2 releases bombs.
