E-100

alt text

The Panzerkampfwagen E-100 (Gerät 383) (TG-01) was a German super-heavy tank design developed towards the end of World War II. It was proposed to be the basis for a heavy artillery system, an anti-aircraft vehicle, and a heavy tank destroyer.[3][better source needed] By the end of the war, a single prototype chassis of the E-100 had been produced, and it was only partially completed. After the war, the prototype was shipped to the United Kingdom for trials, but was later scrapped.

                                                                         -Wikipedia

Rheintochter R1

alt text

Rheintochter was a German surface-to-air missile developed by Rheinmetall-Borsig[1] during World War II. Its name comes from the mythical Rheintöchter (Rhinemaidens) of Richard Wagner's opera series Der Ring des Nibelungen.

The missile was a multi-stage solid fuelled rocket.It had four small control surfaces, resembling paddles, in the nose, six fins at the after end of the top stage, and four at the end of the main stage. It stood 6.3 m (20 ft 8 in) tall, with a diameter of 54 cm (1 ft 9 in). The sustainer motor, located ahead of the 136 kg (300 lb) warhead (rather than behind, as is more usual) exhausted through six venturis between the first stage fins.

                                                                           -Wikipedia

    @PhantomBladeCorp yes and no :
    the track was hard to make because of wheel who didn't want to be mirrored and ended up with weird angle and connection so I put less wheel as possible (which I realize now was lazy) .
    for the elevation it was made on purpose...kind of
    if I had disable collision on the missile I wouldn't have been able to have it launch without a detacher also more realistically the maximum angle would have been 90 degree which I found out about to late

    @Roswell hmm, the Germans probably should've put the Maus turret on an E-100 chassis, would've been light enough to serve in battle without immediately getting stuck in the mud.

    @AWESOMENESS360 that's probably how it would have looked like in real life

    Is the main inspiration picture depicting an E-100 with a Maus Turret?

    Is this the usual quality your release your builds with? It has quite a few sharp edges and the tracks aren't smooth enough. Also, the rocket can only be fired at max elevation while it's pointed to the side.
    It seems like a rushed build, to be honest. Maybe consider building an actual E-100 sometime later? I myself would like to see a tank from you :)
