Their is no such thing as an assault rifle, however, the 7mm pistols are common due to their inexpensive cost and reliability.....making it common in organized crime. They are also extremely small-however they lack any accuracy. @Pilotmario
Double-barrel shotguns are simply used in crimes because they're cheap and concealable. Third place is a .22 plinker though, followed by the Model 155 assault rifle and the K-30 SMG. @PINK
