Introducing the H.P.42 as the latest addition to my 100-part ultra-simple series.
Iconic as the world's largest airliner upon its introduction in 1931, the H.P.42 flew regular passenger and mail service for the British airline, Imperial Airways. Powered by 4 Bristol Jupiter radial engines putting out 490 horsepower each, the biplane served routes across Europe, Asia, and Africa for nearly a decade.
This is a 1:1 scale model in dimension, weight, and power, but I had to make some design compromises to keep the part count down. Overall I think it flies quite well! Enjoy!
