Here's Hell Diver from the Raiden Fighters series.
The Hell Diver represents a technological leap in aviation and military technology. It is the first operational super sonic jet fighter with variable-geometry wings. Performance wise, It outclasses every single fighters the Dictator's army is capable of fielding. Having proven itself in Operation Helldive, the Government's forces ordered a simplified model of the Hell Diver for mass production to replace its aging fighter fleet.
I like to think of the Hell Diver as a jet from the 60s - 70s entering service in a war that is being fought with technologies from the 40s - 50s. To go super sonic, you'll have to be at a steep dive. VTOL down to sweep the wings back for a marginal increase in speed.

This plane is so awesome! I can’t beleive this doesn’t have more upvotes. Also the wings look like a very small version of that on the F-14 Tomcat. Great plane
