The Yakovlev Yak-3 was a Soviet single engine fighter developed from the Yak-1. Early models where unusally light at just 2.7 tons. lighter than the P51, Spitfire, BF109 and even late versions of the A6M. Armed with 2 12.7 MGs and a single 20mm cannon with ammo counts of 300 and 120 respectively, it could make light work of most opponents.
