Blohm und Voss saw what the Russians where up to with the IS-4 Polymorphic fighter and thought they would give it a go themselves, this resulted in the BV 124.

@RamboJutter yikes!
@MAHADI yep lol. The Russian thing that inspired me was even more complicated at the wheels retracted into both the lower wing and the fuselage side :)
so.... it is a monoplane..... and a biplane......... kinda confusing....
a mono-bi-plane?! AMAZING!
@RamboJutter yay!
@ssenmodnar I might get around to it at Christmas, we will see.
@BogdanX thanks bog, appreciate the comments. I went with a straight wing to simplify the retracting wing and to imitate the schnell bomber style but I'm going to make a follow up with some 40mm cannons etc so will play with trailing and leading edges.
Nice! This is a really cool concept for a WWII fighter
@RamboJutter, Would you mind if I requested that you please finish up that flapjack that you mentioned in your last forum and make it less than 650 parts?
Landing gears look like they skipped leg day, but aside from that, its very neat-looking plane with a neato camo.
Very nice plane . Great job .
