PA-48 Enforcer
Piper PA-48 Enforcer
THANKS FOR THE FEATURE!!!
INFO
Hey guys welcome back, I'm pleased to show off this new aircraft, let's get into the details on what inspired me to build this. So first off “Yes” this is my latest P-51D if anyone was wondering, I'll get to why I used it, so I was doing research on the P-51D when I accidentally stumbled upon this pic if a P-51, well what I thought was a P-51, turns out it's call the PA-48 Enforcer, it's basically a P-51 platform but was stripped of its guns, and cooling scoop on the bottom of the aircraft.
EDUCATION
The Piper PA-48 Enforcer is an American turboprop-powered light close air support aircraft built by Piper in the 1970s. It is a development of the World War II-era North American P-51 Mustang fighter. The Enforcer concept was originally created and flown as the Cavalier Mustang by David Lindsay, owner of Cavalier Aircraft, in response to the United States Air Force PAVE COIN program, but Cavalier did not have the manufacturing abilities to mass-produce the Enforcer, so the program was sold to Piper by Lindsay in 1970.

@danman12 yup I know! It’s a fascinating aircraft. It wasn’t actually directly a descendent of the P-51 and I don’t think this one was used in combat. However, the Cavalier Mustang was a lot more similar and had a military role for a little while. That one is also an interesting aircraft
@Mustang51 the funny thing is that this was a real aircraft, but it was retired for the next generation of ground attack aircraft such as the Super Tacano and A-10C Warthog
Awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these on SP before. The Mustang in its ultimate ground attack form
Well if I made it from scratch,it would probably be flipping like all the attempts to make the p-99 turn faster
@Simplepugs ugh cool, those p-51 you made are technically pre-built in the game, my aircraft was previously made also, but I had some details to add to make the aircraft more realistic
I made a squadron of 4 with my newest p51 and within 24 hours I have more than 100 downloads on it
@Rub3n213 oh about 2 or 3 days

You didn’t zoom in anywhere near enough on your screenshots. Shame. You’ve lost half your upvotes.
