The MiG-17 (NATO reporting name: Fresco) is a fighter aircraft designed by the Soviet Union. It was a development of the MiG-15 which flew during the Korean war. In addition to its construction in the USSR, it was also built in China as the Shenyang J-5, and in Poland as the PZL Mielec Lim-6. The aircraft is still in use today with the air force of North Korea.
