Developed in OKB-155 (now JSC "RSK "MiG"") in the 1970-ies. Sovetskii first aircraft of the fourth generation.MiG-31 is designed to intercept and destroy airborne targets at extremely small, small, medium, and high altitudes, day and night, in simple and difficult meteoconditions, at application by the opponent of active and passive radar interference and false thermal purposes.
