Introduced into service in early 2230, the Sharpestone Spear Mk.II fulfilled the need for a high-altitude interceptor in a country stricken by the paranoia of an invading Galteran or Falkenberger force. Despite hardly ever firing in anger, the Spear could reach speeds of ~364 mph at 20,000 feet with its 1050 hp AeroEstro engine and bore twin synchronized 12mm Pierce Guns to further bolster its machine gun armament. Though never seeing full frontline service, several engagements had occurred in the midst of the 3-Year Sortie between the Falkenberg Kingdom and the Galteran Alliance, as both sides had to engage each other by crossing through restricted Falkenberg airspace. The craft achieved a victory ratio of 8-1 against all craft types on average, seeing much success, especially against the older and slower biplanes fielded by both nations. The Spear Mk.II, although only produced in the range of under ~700, became a symbol of Estroarian perseverance in a time noted particularly for its peril.
