A-10X
So, uhhh… I added an HMD, armed it, and I’m officially DONE messing with this. This craft is not made for mobile, even though I built it on mobile. Honestly, it might crash a VR headset because it lags mine (Quest3). On my phone, it runs at like 12 FPS (IPhone11).
I want you all to know this was the most research I’ve ever done for a build, but I made a few changes to turn it into more of a standalone aircraft (12 AGM-65s lol). It’s free to use, so have fun with it, and feel free to make any additions. This thing has the most realistic HUD I’ve ever seen in an A-10 on SimplePlanes (the shape of the glass/screen is spot on), so that’s pretty cool. :)
Activation Groups:
• AG2: Master Arm
• AG3: Landing Light
• AG4: Emergency Jettison
• AG5: Engine Start
• AG7: Engine Start (again?)
Armament:
• 2× AIM-9X
• 12× AGM-65
• 2× GBU-10
• 2× GBU-54
• GAU-8 Avenger
And now, thanks to ChatGPT, here’s the “lore”:
“The A-10X is a futuristic reimagining of the classic A-10C Warthog, equipped with advanced features that push the boundaries of what’s possible in SimplePlanes. Designed with incredible precision, the aircraft includes enhanced armor, futuristic avionics, and a powerful new weapons system. While not suitable for mobile devices due to its complexity, the A-10X blends the battlefield dominance of the original A-10 with cutting-edge technology, making it one of the most detailed and realistic aircraft ever built in the game.”
Please let me know how it performs on your device and what device you’re using. It only gets more detailed from here. Have fun!
(Criticism is welcome—good or bad!)
