(Armored) Prototype - Scarab
"To charge though the deluge without damage."
Covered with heavy plate armor, the Scarab was designed to survive AA fire. It is quite resistant to bullets, but it does have a few weak spots, which if hit, will destroy the craft like a normal plane. Fortunately, these weak spots are quite hard to hit. The Scarab also has a HevRail cannon, dual vortex cannons, and a few rockets.
IMPORTANT: Read the controls and desc!
Contols:
VTOL up: control stabilization engine (it keeps the craft from pitching down.)
Trim: Trim. You will need this.
Activator 1: Hevrail Online.
Activator 2: Fire vortex cannons.
Don't use Activator 7. It will remove your armor, and lag your device.
Fireguns: Fire the minigun, and the HevRail (if it is online)
Tips:
Note that the hevrail causes lag.
Your weak spots are on the back of the craft, and in the compatmments near the wings.
Use the VTOL and Trim as you get up to speed... you will need them to overcome the disturbances made by the armor.
In combat, I like to have the throttle at 19-20%, Trim all the way down, and the vtol only a smal amount up.

@TheTomatoLover This aircraft is quite old, though even when I made it, the parachute armor exploit had been known
@spefyjerbf what’s your inspiration? I saw someone do this once, a loonnngg while back.
@spefyjerbf mk
@Mechdude1397 Over 100, most likely
HOW MANY PARACHUTES???
@spefyjerbf then can you make a new armored one pls?
@RandomDude I actually made one! However, parachute armor doesn't work if you have updated SP to 1.7. Thankfully, armor is much easier to make now.
I would like to see a tank made of this armor!
@KingBdog Yep. That is true.
@spefyjerbf i beleive that the missiles track the cockpit itself, as seen in SAM evasion when after you blow up or send out a drone the misile still targets the cockpit
@Thepilot172 Interesting. I might look into that. I think the underlying mechanism for breaking the lock of those launchers is simply shedding a lot of weight, to trick the launchers into thinking that the plane has been critically damaged.
@AaltonenIndustries Yes. Except if the guns are modded to have very high speed or ridiculous caliber.
@AdrianFlyingAce Maybe. Although it is quite hard to mod bullet range. Modding bullet speed will mod range, so I will find a way. First, could you tell me the default range of a minigun? I am also planning to release an anti ship laser soon, I'm not sure what it's range is.
@TheNightmare811 @AdrianFlyingAce What sinks the ships is an extremely high rate of fire. To my knowledge, weight, caliber, and speed have no effect on the ships.
I haven't yet got the ability to mod but I will release a mod pack containing all of my guns- I'll tag you @AdrianFlyingAce
great job! Putting suspension under the plates will absorb virtually all bullet impact...
@spefyjerbf thanks
Yep, it's pretty damn high. @spefyjerbf
@TheNightmare811 Damage, as in caliber? I think that works too, but the numbers need to be excessively high.
It's actually modded damage I think. Do you think it would be possible to make like- virtually impenetrable armour out of these? @spefyjerbf
@TheNightmare811 Modded bullet speed can pierce through the armor. Also, heavy bullet weight can knock the aircraft around.
I have sourced a gun able to pierce these armour plates! I never knew it was possible but I used your armour testing build to check... I will be making a rival to this vehicle! (AWESOME BUILD though!) @spefyjerbf
@spefyjerbf it is finished
@spefyjerbf Ok! i'm out of plastic right now, but i'm getting more thursday. so, maybe sometime this week or next.
@MrTyTheGreat Haha, thanks! Could you send a link to a picture of the print? (when it is done, of course) I would greatly appreciate it.
