The plane was developed as a replacement for the L-145 fighter, a plane designed in the late 1990s as a replacement for the Primean navies L-135 fleet. The plane is an agile, fast, high capacity plane. The plane was intended to work alongside the L-10 fighter in fleet operations, as the more strike focused fighter of the pair.
