DHC XFA-401
Document I: Description
Document I.A: Synopsis
The XFA-401 is a single-seat prototype multirole fighter developed by the Corporation for the German Luftwaffe and is its fourteenth aircraft. It inherits the COINED2 system from the earlier XFA-349, though the prototype's engines and weapon suite are made entirely from scratch.
Document I.B: Design
The XFA-401 uses the new COINED2 system, though its bulky payload makes its combat performance slightly inferior to its predecessors and making it larger than all of the DHC aircraft before it. This makes the prototype the largest fighter created by the Corporation as of its creation date.
Document I.C: Armament
Darkhound has created a highly classified weapon suite nicknamed "Malcolm". The armament set includes the formidable Blastburn missile dispenser that houses 15 missiles, and the dangerous Rotlicht tactical laser system. The weapons are mostly unparalleled by current mainstream weapon technology, however very heavy.
Document I.D: Production
The XFA-401 is solely designed for weapons and technology demonstration, though Darkhound has prospects to put the prototype into active service by late 2027. It has only three sole prototypes as of mid-2025.
