SDUD-220

The SDUD-220 is a tactical ballistic missile (TBM) system. It serves as a platform mounted on a truck that carries a tactical ballistic missile with a range of hundreds of kilometers, making it a significant threat on the modern battlefield due to its range and speed.

The missile carrier vehicle is based on the Model-6 truck, utilizing some spare parts from the redesigned APC-42M2 (Model-2) chassis, elongated with a 5x5 wheel system. Initially conceptualized in the mid-1957, the truck was projected to be completed by the early 1960s, alongside the missile it was designed to transport. With a maximum speed reaching 128 km/h, this truck offers high mobility, while its extensive range provides tactical flexibility.

The missile itself, named S-32M2 'Bronya/?????(Russian word 'Armor')' serves as the primary armament of the SDUD-220, featuring the following specifications:
- Maximum Range: 200 km
- Minimum Range: 10-13 km
- Maximum Velocity: 1950 m/s
- Accuracy: 20 m - 100 m
- Warhead Options: Ranging from conventional to biological, chemical, and tactical nuclear warheads.

The SDUD-220 presents a robust tactical solution, capable of addressing various combat scenarios with precision and effectiveness. With the capability to strike targets up to 200 km away and accommodate various types of warheads, the SDUD-220 holds exceptional potential within the context of complex and dynamic modern warfare.
