"Razorblade" Jet Racing Vehicle
Hello and thank you for agreeing to participate in the field testing of our new jet vehicle prototype.
The new Razorblade is somewhat different from what you used to pilot. First of all, it utilizes improved anti-gravity cushion that is safe to humans, much more stable and allows to hover closer to the ground without ruining the surface. It also consumes less energy. However, it is much harder and doesn't work above water.
The engines are more powerful than those they use now. In our preliminary tests we managed to reach the maximum speed of about 430 miles per hour. Of course increased speed means increased safety measures. The cockpit now is nearly indestructible and will keep you safe in almost any crash. Moreover, the vehicle now has a Drag Chute and rudimentary flight controls that will help you land safely if you find yourself in mid-air. Yes, you heard that right. The Razorblade has great downforce that will keep you near the ground most of the time, but a small bump hit on a high speed may cause the vehicle to rise too high in the air. If that happens, grab the stick to you right - it will allow you to control PITCH and ROLL while in the air. It also may be useful to fly over hollows or small lakes.
Now more about controls. They may appear quite unusual to those of you who never piloted a Type 3 jet racer before. You'll see that there's a yoke instead of joystick and basically you control your vehicle around the YAW axis while on the ground. The Roll and Pitch controls normally aren't used. The BRAKE pedal is at your feet, just like in a car. The THRUST lever is the rightmost one, please don't confuse it with TRIM control you find in most planes. Finally, the CHUTE is deployed with BUTTON 1. Don't worry, you will be trained on a special flight simulator before accessing the real vehicle.
Finally, we have several sites we find suitable for testing.
First of all, it's Gold Prix Raceway and the whole Sky Park City island. It's flat and it's big enough for you to get used to the vehicle. The Maywar Takeoff and an area around Mirage Speedway are a little bit trickier. If you're feeling lucky, you can go beyond the flat surface, but please control your speed. You can also try the Wright Airport and Avalanche Airport, but these are hard ones when you leave the runway.
Use any other locations at your own risk. And please remember that the cost of any damage done to the vehicle will be deducted from your life insurance.
Thank you and good luck!
