Soap Box Derby challenge winner ThePrototype
The winner of the first annual soapbox derby challenge. Here are the results: REMEMBER! These races are the won with the best of three times on a course. Bonus points will be awarded if the times beat my personal time. Race 1- won by Gamerboy21 with a time of 1 minute and 3 secs. Race 2- won by ThePrototype with a time of 39 seconds. Both earn bonus points for the first race, ThePrototype earns a point for the second. (TheProto-3 Gamer-2) Next, how well it works. TheProto- your car had a little accident on the first run. I went over a bump, caught air, and landed, not unscathed. Upon landing, the right wheel turned, and got caught at about a 86' angle, slowing the first time to 2:00. Otherwise, the suspension worked rather well, but against you in the first race. It bounced the vehicle, making it prone to spins. It's a bit loose in general, and requires management throughout. Overall, pretty good. +1 Gamerboy, your car didn't have suspension, making it faster in the first race. At low speeds, the it handles well. However, at about 56 mph, it gets extremely loose, causing you the first race.+1 (TheProto-4 Gamerboy-3) lastly, looks. TheProto, your car definitely has some good effort put into the design and moving parts. It looks really good, and is satisfying to watch. Gamer, your car actually looks like a soapbox derby car, and is very sleek. With that, the final score is: ThePrototype-5 Gamerboy21-4. Make sure you check out both of these peoples' other builds, and congrats to ThePrototype on the win. The vehicle above is his design, and not mine. Press Ag1 to release the car, and VTOL to extend the arm, while using roll to steer.
