The Xb-42 "mixmaster" was an experimental US bomber developed at the close of the second world war. The sole purpose of this aircraft was for speed and this purpose was met as the Xb-42 broke about eleven records. It wasn't until two jet engines were added that it became designated as the Xb-42A
