Angle of Attack Indicator

234k jamesPLANESii  5.0 years ago

An LED Angle of Attack Indicator. This is a device that STOL pilots use to help them push their planes to the limit. It is used to tell how far off the aircraft is from stalling, as aircraft always stall at the same AoA. This one is calibrated for an aircraft with a 15* stall angle. Enjoy!

Video on how to adjust this —>HERE<—

Saya harap anda juga bisa membuat monitor sudut pendaratan yang pas untuk mendarat di kapal induk karna saya sering terjatuh

@Captain247 I just tested it and it seems one of the updates or something inverted it. I'll have to fix that! Thanks! I swear it still works for me on my computer. That's so weird lol

I noticed that the lights are on when I’m not moving but the moment I do they turn off

@AN2Felllla I’m on max settings for mobile so I don’t think it’s the light. Also I see the lights turn on when I first load in then they don’t work. And idk about the wing load cause I should be high.

@Captain247 It might be that the wing load on your plane is way too low and you can't get to a high enough AoA for this to start displaying. Either that or your in the wrong light and it's difficult to see them. Cause it definitely still works for me...

You wouldn’t want to round it because that wouldn’t move smoothly. Just AngleOfAttack/180 would work @CRJ900Pilot

Would the formula be "round(AngleOfAttack/180)" for a circular gauge? @jamesPLANESii

Do you have a tutorial for how to change the AoA setting? I want to be able to put this in more planes that have different stall angles rather than just ask you to make more indicators for different AoA stalls.

Oh my... I'm getting too inspired. Next I'll have to add cockpits with instruments and (this particularly) AoA indexers to my fighters...
