Broad-Tailed Hummingbird

If you want the controls, scroll down.

Hi Simpleplanes community! It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I'd post this one. I hope you like it, because it's original!
I looked around for a realistic hummingbird ornithopter, but I couldn't find anything, so I decided to make my own. Now the Simpleplanes community has a hummingbird that they can put XML modded nukes on, along with all the other weird things you plan on doing with this.

This is an ornithopter, meaning it flies by means of flapping its wings. I modeled this hummingbird ornithopter after the exact flight mechanics of the real thing, just change the speed to slow-motion and compare it to a slow-mo of a real hummingbird. You'll see.

Controls

  • AG8 - Gyroscope
    Yaw - Yaw
    Roll - Roll
    Pitch - Pitch (Foward/Backward Primary)

  • Throttle - Flap Wings

  • VTOL - Pitch of Wings:

    Neutral 1
    Backwards
    Up
    Forwards
    Neutral -1

-To take off, I suggest not doing 100% throttle unless you gotta go fast. You should primarily use VTOL to control your altitude.
-To go forward, set the VTOL to around 0.5 and increase throttle. VTOL -0.5 for backwards.
-To land, you should gently lower your throttle to around 30% and slowly raise the VTOL almost to neutral 1 and make a soft landing. Cut the throttle.
