It was a project developed by the Chrysler Corporation in the summer of 1946. The vehicle included some design solutions that the US tank industry was not accustomed to. In particular, the Chrysler K's transmission and engine were to be located at the front, and the gun compartment was to be located at the rear of the hull. All crew members were to sit in the turret. This project is thought to be the first US project to seat the driver in the turret. It was not supported by the military due to limited funds.
