PAC P1C Eagle -Armed

This is the final fighter variant of the P1 Eagle series. The P1C was the best performing P1 Eagle fighter out of all the models. With the new, powerful engine, better aerodynamics, improved control surfaces, and 4, 50. cal guns, this was a true dogfighter (and pursuit fighter) for it's time. The P1C could carry either 4 small bombs under its wings or carry 1 torpedo beneath the fuselage (naval variant only), making the P1C a very capable multi-role fighter. However the Vickers machine guns were dropped, and the P1C went all out with 4, .50 caliber M2 Browning machine guns. The P1C was produced as a fighter from 1930 to 1940. By 1940 it was re-classed as a light fighter (outclassed by bigger, faster, airplanes such as the Spitfire, BF-109, P-51A/B, etc.) but was still very deadly.

The P1C Eagle is the final production model of the P1 Series. The P1C had many changes, most notable the NR-2 Radial was swapped out for the more complex, but more powerful NP-3 V6 piston engine that ranges from 200 to 500HP (800HP in S.P.). The wooden prop was also exchanged for a 3-bladed, constant speed wooden prop. A windscreen was also finally added to direct the air around the exposed pilot. A spine running from the cockpit to the tail was also added for streamlining and stren ngthening purposes. The final change was the addition of a turnable tailwheel, that enables the pilot to turn the aircraft without getting out to turn it or using the brakes. The P1C is also the fastest production Eagle with a top speed of 170 knots (aprox. 180 mph). Control surfaces were also slightly improved giving the P1C better aerobatic capabilities. The wood and fabric construction also utilized stronger materials and better techniques to maximize structural strength. The P1C also comes standard with navigation, beacon, and strobe lights too. The P1C first flew in 1929 and was produced from 1930 to 1965.

The P1 Eagle is also comparable to the Piper J-3 Cub, Aeronca Champ and Chief, Luscombe Silvair, ERCO Ercoupe, and the Taylorcraft.

AG-1 = Nav, beacon, strobe lights

VTOL = Propeller pitch (Set to manual by default, but if it's to complex you can set it to auto pitch)

Adjust propeller pitch according to speed and power settings. Go to fast with max throttle will blow the engine, so be careful with engine management.
