DIXIE-419 BARRACUDA

2,728 XMIndustries  2.2 years ago

The DIXIE-419 BARRACUDA was a torpedo trainer built from 1919-1939 to train pilots how to drop a torpedo and aim it acurately without a sight as there was no sights on the aircraft. It was later used to sink various ships during the early stages of World War 2. Despite being 25 years old (by the time of ww2) the Barracuda used a modified DIXIE-Merlin engine which was a powerful engine used for racing and also used in a couple DIXIE aircraft. The wheel caridge also made it easy to land.
