Description
The Block 10 upgrades of the F-16A/Bs were mainly internal upgrades, with not many exterior differences. Some from the New York ANG were modified for the F-16 CAS Program, but were then refitted back to “normal” Block 10s.
The Airframe
79-0290 served with Hill AFB, and took part of the official naming ceremony of the F-16. It was then transferred to McEntire JNGB, where it would serve with the South Carolina ANG. The plane was also mobilized for Operation Desert Storm, and was later sent for preservation as a recruiting aid, with a special livery showing several Looney Toons characters on its nose gear door.
