UnstableOrbit Airways B-314 Clipper
NEWER VERSION AVAILABLE FOR LATEST SIMPLEPLANES BETA: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/o8UX97/UnstableOrbit-Airways-B-314-Clipper-UPDATED
FLYING INSTRUCTIONS AT END!
UnstableOrbit Airways, in partnership with Boeing, is proud to announce the revival of a classic historical passenger aircraft: the B-314 Clipper!. The B-314 is a large flying boat capable of transoceanic flights that was first produced in the 1930s. The new line has improved speed and stability, while sacrificing none of the luxuries of the original design. Enjoy an affordable, relaxing flight with amenities not seen since the demise of the great transoceanic passenger liners so many decades ago, including private cabins, ample cargo space, and gourmet meals! Tickets start at just $175/person for overnight destinations! Book your vacation today!
FLYING INSTRUCTIONS:
---First off, this is a flying boat. It does NOT have wheeled landing gear, so water touchdowns only!
---Secondly, this is a complex aircraft to fly, so inexperienced pilots may encounter some difficulties during operation.
---Third, and most importantly, THIS AIRCRAFT FEATURES VARIABLE PITCH PROPELLERS! Anyone who does not understand how to operate these will NOT be able to successfully fly this aircraft!
Controls:
group 1-4 = toggle engines 1-4 on/off
vtol slider = propeller blade pitch control. slider up: forward/more pitch; slider down: reverse/less pitch
Maximum speed is around 450mph, if you have an understanding of how to operate the engines. If you don't, don't exceed 200mph or you will probably die a horrible, firey death.
Tested only on maximum settings on PC. Use with different settings at your own risk.

36.5k UnstableOrbit@JacobHardy64 ah, then it must be because, as the devs said, the ios beta is a few days older than the pc beta, so it might be missing a few things. Blame apples shit approval system for taking so long9.3 years ago

25.2k JacobHardy64So some people have been saying something about a new map, and I'm confused. I'm on iOS beta, no new map, and some planes I can't download because I don't have "camera 2" any ideas? @PhilipTarpley9.3 years ago

36.5k UnstableOrbit@PhilipTarpley lemme guess, you kept slamming the throttles to 100? Anything over 25-30% before you are pulling back and moving at 90mph will do that to ya9.3 years ago
-
Dev PhilipTarpleyVery nice. It is a bit hard to take off w/o nosing over, but that just adds to the challenge :)9.3 years ago
-
25.2k kikasshesCould someone make a tutorial in using variable pitch. (A guide for propeller customization would be nice too)9.3 years ago
-
Dev PhilipTarpley@Ctracerx2 The beta won't auto-load an aircraft when downloading...it will use the officially installed version. To load a plane into the beta version, copy the full URL of the plane (https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/B082Y2/UnstableOrbit-Airways-B-314-Clipper), go into the designer, and hit Ctrl+L...that will load a copy of the plane in whatever version you are running.9.3 years ago

36.5k UnstableOrbit@ctracerx2 if more people encounter that problem, I may make the xml available on google drive9.3 years ago
