J-80 Dragon Slayer

Auto Credit Based on Typhlosion130's J-80 The fat Dove

A plane Built to beat "The Dragon". The final new race course in the steam beta (soon to not only be in the beta).
It uses 5 of the new engines to give it a huge amount of power for its size. 7.7 power to weight even when fully loaded.
Its wing load is a bit high for what I usually do but it maneuvers good enough for the kind of courses it was built for.
And even for its size its drag is quite low. being a very aerodynamic design with minimal drag for its size weight and power.

    @Typhlosion130 yeah, with all the new stuff they added it's probably pretty tricky to sort through at first. Being on iOS I barely know anything about it lol

    @Shmexysmpilot oh yea. they made some tweaks to make XML modding easier for people. that doesn't apply to stock game however so forgive me for not really paying attention to that. I can't XML mod aside making my wings structural.

    @Typhlosion130 they said it was an xml thing

    @Shmexysmpilot yea the car engines can. you can control the horse power on the car engines. jet engines don't have any power scale.

    @Typhlosion130 in the description of the beta it said engines power was scalable. I figured that meant that you could make an engine now powerful without needing to have it throttle up forever

    @Shmexysmpilot uh... what power scaling?

    @Typhlosion130 yeah, that's something the devs noted in the beta post. But with power scaling now that shouldn't be much of a problem

    @Shmexysmpilot now I know I said about double hte power and they literally have like 67k thrust. but in this update it seems all jet engines are much weaker.

    @Typhlosion130 yeah, and they're going to be a lot more useful when making airliners and stuff

    @Shmexysmpilot yea these engines are about double the power of the old most powerful. and only weight 1k more. however have more drag and are harder to work with (as they can't snap onto the rear of any thing)
