Airbus A300-600 Mahan Air
The Airbus A300 is known not only for its commercial success in its work, but also for being Europe's first post-war wide-body passenger aircraft project, a success for the manufacturer as well as for continental Europe.
CASA of Spain, Aerospatiale of France, Daimler Chrysler Aerospase of Germany, and British Aerospace of England merged in the late 1960s to form the Airbus industry with the goal of building a 300-seat twin-engine aircraft to fill the vast market. The 300-seat Airbus was later based on 250 seats. Because the Airbus designers believed that this amount of capacity was less risky. The A300 design has the suffix B, which indicates changes to this model.
Two prototypes of the A300-B1 were built, the first flying from Toulouse, France on October 28, 1972, and the second on February 5 of the following year. The General Electric CF6 is Airbus' choice for the A300. Following the prototype of the A300B1, the A300B2 entered service with Air France on May 23, 1974, with a 65.2 meter longer body.
Other models of this aircraft include B2-200 including Kruger flaps for better landing and take-off efficiency and use of different B2-300 wheels and brakes with more weight for carrying more useful load. B4-200 with more take-off weight and reinforced wings and body with advanced landing gear. A small number of variable models of the A300C were also built, which used the door, which is located on the left side of the aircraft and behind the wing, to enter the cargo to the main part of the aircraft. Towards the end of production of the A300B4, the use of two flight deck crews was proposed for the A300-200FF, whose customers were VASP, Tunis Air and Garuda.
Production of the A300B4 was finally discontinued in May 1984. But Airbus, which was designing a modified version of the B4, continued to build the aircraft. Named the A300-600, this model is slightly more elongated and lighter than the previous model B4. This model first flew in 1983.
