P-89 Legionnarie
The P-89 Legionnaire was a fighter created to compeat with the I-141 Javelin (another aircraft I have made) for a main defense fighter contract. The P-89 won out over the I-141 due to its tighter turn, greater speed, and use of less stregic matireal. The P-89 uses a slightly less powerful 1415HP inverted v 12 engine, but a more streamlined airframe and a more advanced supercharger makes the P-89 marginally faster in level flight. The Legionnarie has four .50 caliber machine guns all mounted above the engine in the main fuslage, providing for close grouping of fire. The cockpit is fully detiled with the 6 pack of flight insturments, control levers, and a MK IV gunisght. The Legionnaire is visually based off of the Italian Reganne 2005 fighter aircraft.
