Supermarine Sea Salamander FGR.1
This is a fictional late 40s carrier based fighter bomber, heavily based on my Supermarine S.XIb float-plane racer. She is very similar in size and performance to the Hawker Sea Fury. Something of a challenger to my Fictional Messerschmitt Adler.
Powered by the 6000 hp Rolls Royce Raptor compound charged 48 Cylinder double inverted V liquid cooled engine driving two massive five blade counter - rotating props, she is capable of around 500mph at 10,000 feet with a full ground attack load. In clean config she is even faster.
She is armed with 4 20mm cannon in the wings and has stores points under the wings and fuselage for weapons of your choice.
The controls are as follows;
AG1 + VTOL up drops landing flaps
AG2 + VTOL up folds the wings
AG3 + VTOL up deploys the arrestor hook
AG4 activates the lights
AG5 drops under wing stores
AG6 drops ventral stores
She is fairly vice free to fly - stall results in a level drop of the nose.
For take off, give full trim nose up and full throttle - she will be flying before reaching the bow the the USS Beast.
For landing, the trick is to leave the throttle at 20%, full trim nose up and control the attitude and rate of decent by using the landing flaps. She is by no means easy to land on the Beast, but it is possible.
Have fun!

Very cool looking bunch of builds these and the fastest prop driven aircraft I've seen on Sp. Landed on the beast on my 3rd attempt but to be fair I was trying on an iPad and out of practice! Bravo well done!
